Make a Donation to the South Carolina Railroad Museum

The South Carolina Railroad Museum, Inc. is an all volunteer non-profit organization. Donations made to the Museum help it to continue to grow and preserve South Carolina's great railroad history.

Stephens, Inc. Account
The Museum now has an account with Stephens, Inc. opened for the purpose of allowing donors an additional way of assisting the Museum through the gift of appreciated securities. Such a donation, while preserving the charitable contribution of the donor in full, avoids the capital gains tax which the donor otherwise would owe. The gain is passed through to the Museum, which is exempt from the tax.

Anyone interested in this form of contribution should contact Henry Nechemias 215-888-5104 or henry@scrm.org for details on the procedure for donation of securities. Henry can also provide a list of current Museum projects in need of financial assistance.
